Sneak Peek!

Hey everyone, hope you had an amazing weekend!! Today after much rescheduling, I was finally able to have my Tea Party (and the one Garden Party) Dress photo shoot for my Etsy shop!! Here's a sneak peek of the shoot!


I'm hoping to be able to put my shops back up soon, just waiting to make sure Canada Post is NOT going on strike. And then I will add some lovely summer dresses.

Remember Janis Joplin?

Remember this? A friend at work asked me to style her as Janis Joplin for a fundraising concert! Here's the look I came up with.




She's wearing:

-Dress: thrifted maxi dress that I altered into a mini dress and shortened the long sleeve to 3/4 length
-crocheted poncho: thrifted
-bracelets: a beaded necklace wrapped around her wrist a few times

Garden Party

Hey! Just stopping by to show you a new dress design! This actually occurred from a mistake when making a Tea Party Dress, but I LOVE it. I added the bow as well because it needed something, and I think it's so fun. I'm calling it the Garden Party Dress :)

Why hello everyone! So sorry I haven't been around, for some reason I have been ridiculously busy and have not had the normal time to check back to all your blogs as of late, hopefully I can get to that soon! In the meantime, here is what I wore to church this morning-I know I look scowly when I'm squinting but I tried to smile this time!! I'm not angry, promise I'm not! :P

sorry for the lame blogging as of late, I've just had NO TIME to even sew and that makes me sad :(
On a happier note, I'm going to a cabin for a few days of much needed r&r. I'll hopefully be back with pictures!!

New Vintage!

Hello everyone! I've just put up some new items in my vintage shop this morning, some men's items! I've got my lovely boyfriend modelling for me, and I think he makes these clothes look REAL GOOD ;)

This beautiful camera bag from Jo Totes is on it's way to me!! I bought a new camera last week and of course I need a camera bag in which to put it!

I heard about Jo Totes on A Beautiful Mess when she was advertising this pretty tote bag
and then she did a giveaway for the Millie bag in sugar plum and I thought it was so pretty! SO. It had to be done and I can't wait to carry it around and feel all chic with a pretty camera bag :)

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I've been super busy! Speaking of which-gotta go!

Raspberry Lime Cupcakes

Last week, me and the boy made cupcakes!! I LOVE cupcakes. They are so fun and cute and tasty :)


I found a recipe on foodgawker for Raspberry Lime Cupcakes, and they sounded amazing-and they are! They're soft and moist (gross word, I know, but who likes dry cupcakes?), and the icing is DE.LICIOUS.


And it was fun :)

Weekend Update With Instagram

Well hello everyone! Sorry I've been a little MIA, I had a really busy weekend in the city meaning I wasn't at home at a computer AT ALL! And then the place where I work moved to a new location this weekend so we've been going crazy trying to organize everything and it's just been nuts.

Anyway, here's a little peek at my weekend! On Saturday I spent the night at a hotel with some friends, then on Sunday the boy and his family came out and we spent the day at The Forks! It's this cool little indoor market type place with all kinds of food and shops!






And this my friends, is a ridiculously amazing salad called Sashimi Tuna Salad. It had avocado (MY FAVORITE), mango (MY FAVORITE), cucumber, peanuts, in arugula and the tuna was in some kind of a mint (MY FAVORITE) lime (MY FAVORITE) sauce! It was fantastic. A whole lotta flavors partying in my mouth right there. Yikes.

Also, it snowed like crazy, it looked like Winter had come back and I was NOT impressed. Thank goodness it's pretty much gone.

Anyway, this I'm working on finishing everything up for the Flea Market this weekend!! Can't wait :)
