Sweets and Treats on Breakfast TV

Chocolate M&M Pretzels

Remember last year when I shared all those holiday tutorials? Well here's another one!  These chocolate M&M pretzel treats are super easy, great for any holiday party and quite tasty!

Here's what you need:

-Bag of pretzels

-2 bags of Hershey Kisses (you could do hugs too)

-Christmas M&Ms

Here's what you do:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Celsius.  While it's heating up, place pretzels neatly onto a cookie sheet with a silpat mat or wax/parchment paper

2. Place kisses on top of pretzels

3. Place prepared pretzels into the oven for 4-5 minutes, until the chocolate is shiny, but not melted

4. Take the treats out of the oven, and put an M&M on top of the kiss and push down.

Super simple, a nice sweet and salty treat to add to your holiday menu!

Breakfast TV!!!

So..super exciting, I had the amazing opportunity to be on Breakfast Television on Wednesday and it was so much fun!!!  Here's a little snap I took of the set!

I taped 2 segments, one was gift wrap ideas including the ones shows below (tutorial on the show!)

November

 November was a whirlwind!  I set up shop at a local Christmas Craft Sale, selling infinity scarves, Heidi Hoods, statement necklaces and more!

For my birthday my husband treated me to a Candy Cane blizzard ( I LOVE anything candy cane at Christmastime!)

We went to the antique store for waffles..mmmm

On my actual birthday we went to Peasant Cookery for dinner...wow.

Went for drinks with my bestest friends!

Showed off my new birthday sweater from Out of the Blue in Osborne Village

Husband made a ridiculously amazing carrot soup recipe from Jamie Oliver-delicious!

I learned to sew in sleeves!

It snowed!

We set up and decorated our Christmas tree

Including my favorite cupcake ornament from my amazing sister-in-law

And generally had a jolly good time!

This October I had the wonderful opportunity to be in a woodland photoshoot, shot by my sister-in-law Krysten, alongside my sister, Holly!  Here's a photo mid-hair and makeup.

My husband celebrated a birthday by cooking us a steak and potatoes meal!! It was delicious, and not even my birthday!

September

Hi everyone!  It's been a while, so I thought I'd catch you up on what's been going on!  One post for each month starting with September.  

In September I started SCHOOL!  I'm taking an Apparel Design program in the city, so once a week I drive out for an evening class.  Here's what I wore to my first day of school!

Husband and I went on a coffee and game date (have you ever brought games to play on coffee dates? It's super fun!)

We bought the Fall Collection from David's Tea (Pumpkin Chai is my FAVORITE)

I bought some pretty loafers to romp about in Fall

I've been incredibly busy with a new job, getting ready for a fashion show as well as craft shows and that is why I've been MIA lately.  I'm very excited to share these new items and hopefully more soon!

Fall is here

What I love most about Fall is the crispness in the air, the gorgeous colors and the crunch of leaves!
My sister and I modeled in a gorgeous Fall photoshoot done by my sister-in-law (hers is this last photo) a few weeks ago, and I love how they turned out!

The top 2 photos are from my Instagram, just capturing some Autumn beauty and I cannot get over the woodland crown that was made by our local flower shop, Bloom!

Local Love: Macarons by Holly

Hello!  Today I am THRILLED to share about a new local love: Macarons by Holly

Some of you might be familiar with Holly who used to write the fabulous Create Loves blog.  I found out in summer that Holly was going to be selling macarons at our local Farmer's Market, and I was so excited!

My husband and I received macarons as a wedding present; That was the first time I'd ever had them and I am HOOKED!

So far my favorites from Macarons by Holly are: Lemon, S'mores, Lime Basil, and...oh who am I kidding, I love them all!

If you are in the Morden area, make sure you check out these fabulous treats on Thursdays from 4pm-7pm at the Farmer's Market, I promise you, you won't be disappointed :)
