WEST Spring Sale - April 30th

A few weekends ago I was a vendor at the WEST Spring Market in Winnipeg.  It was a super fun day, lots of traffic and people to meet!

We had a large crowd for most of the day which was super nice and kept us busy!

Here's my display including one-of-a-kind items as well as my new Kimonos and Pleated Skirts!

Another friend was there, Real Swanky with her delightful needlepoint art!  

I also had a partner in crime, Chrisy from Boutique Sew Chique (check out her ADORABLE aprons!)

This piece was my best seller of the day!  I love the print and the fringe, it's so summery and comfy for Summer!  See more Kimonos here

How are you?

It's been a while.  Life gets so crazy busy and the blog is the first thing to go.  BUT I'm still here, and I'm still sewing away!  I recently made a few Spring Heidi Hoods with fun graphic print lining like this one, and there are more on the way!

Today I'm working on some more Zipper Cowls in fun prints and colors as well, I really like these and I can't believe I haven't made more yet, but they are coming!

I've got a bunch of new info to share with you guys, but not today.  Today I sew.

Now what to watch on Netflix while I sew the day away.....

Wore Stories: Braided Tunic Sweater

Every now and then I take some time to make something for myself.  I had this idea after I saw this beautiful braided look fabric in a stretch knit, and it turned out super cute!

I love mixing textures which is why I wanted to do the bottom of the sleeve in the braided fabric as well.  I have some more of this fabric in grey so we'll see what else I get up to!

Katie Cares Fashion Show 2015

This year I again took part in the annual Katie Cares Fashion Show fundraiser!

It was so much fun, there's so much energy and excitement on the day of the fashion show, backstage is always a flurry with changes and perfecting hair and makeup, it is truly a special time!

This lovely lady filled in last minute when one of my models was sick with food poisoning!

I finished this dress in time to wear it to the show,

This event is put on by the Katie Cares Foundation who raises money to be able to provide toys, games and other loving gifts to kids in the hospital!  Find out more about their charity and the amazing work they are doing to build Katie's Cottage here.

Behind The Scenes

Janelle 2

While Janelle was out we headed to Morris to take in the Stampede...and when I say Stampede I mean everything but...like the fair grounds, food, and artisan booths!  It was the perfect day!

Then was our shopping day where I tried on this most adorable polka dot dress, visited Anthropologie and on the way home got caught in a crazy downpour!!

I must say I do love a good shopping trip.  I didn't buy that polka dot dress but later when I was going through my things I found it amongst some other clothes.  What a sweet family I have <3

Janelle 1

This is my sister-in-law Janelle.  She surprised the BEANS out of me by coming to visit!  Everybody new but me and I was SHOCKED to say the least.  There may have been a LOT of screaming.  And jumping.  And then some more screaming, etc.

We went mini-golfing where Janelle was eaten by a cat, and not just any cat...

We went swimming a lot..

and I mean serious swimming, pool snacks, iced teas, magazines, the works!

We also did some shopping, do you like my crown?  It's from UO.

I had SO much fun with Janelle, I'm sad she's gone already but happy we could hang out for a week!  Stay tuned for Janelle Pt.2!
