At The Greenhouse

This week we headed to my local Greenhouse and had the most wonderful photoshoot!  I'm so excited to share these behind the scenes photos with you!

There were flowers galore which was perfect for the Summer clothing we were shooting!

I'll admit, I sorta forgot how hot greenhouses can be, and I am surprised I don't look how I feel in this next photo - I was literally sweating from my eyelids!

Despite the heat it was a really fun shoot and I am even more excited to show you the shots to update my Etsy listings and add the new pieces (2 new kimonos are coming!)

Avengers

Way back when we went to see the Avengers and we made a day of it!

We visited the most beautiful store-of course Anthropologie! 

We tried a new cocktail place Albert St. Cocktail Co.  The moscow mule was delicious!

Did some shopping...

And finally headed to the movie!  It was super fun!  Did you see Avengers Age of Ultron? What did you think?

Etsy Craft Party

A few weeks ago the Winnipeg Etsy Street Team put on an Etsy Craft Party!!  

Etsy had a worldwide craft party day, where communities were invited to bring in old photographs and create fun new frames for them!

I was given the challenge to take the 'ugliest' materials and make it into something beautiful.  Here's how it turned out

It was a super fun evening held at Frame Art Warehouse alongside the Makers Market.

Last Weekend...

Last weekend I....
Went to the fair!

Watched a parade!

Ate some delicious crepes from Tokyo Rabbit

Made some really cute baby hats for a baby shower

And had an amazing beach day with some lovely friends!

Next week I am going on holidays! It's going to be super epic, I cannot wait!  I may be MIA that week as I'm going to try to stay away from interacting on the internet for the week :)  See you when I get back!  

August Long

This weekend was fully of activity!  My niece turned 1 year old on the 24th of July and so we had a party on Sunday!  My mom and I spent hours last week building this playhouse (we got the idea from this tutorial by A Beautiful Mess)

 Of course there were cupcakes involved!

On Monday we ate crepes, lazed around in the pool and played a little Cribbage

Followed by mojitos outside on the deck.

Wore Stories-Sunday Morning

I wore this outfit to church yesterday, it was so nice in the morning and then we were hit with rain in the afternoon.  Ah well, that's Manitoba weather for you ;)

Friday Makers Market

On Friday I had a table up at the Makers Market at The Frame.  I'd never been to this location and it was pretty cool! I would love to have walls like this as a photo backdrop!  The vibe was very cool and though it was a warm night there was a vendor selling cold soda which was a lifesaver-not to mention delicious!  If you've never been to the Makers Market you should really check it out!

Oh Canada

Canada Day weekend was awesome!  We helped my parents with the pool they are building in their backyard (so amazing!)

This little one had so much fun splashing!

Ate some amazing food

Enjoyed a crazy street festival in the hot hot heat

Stayed hydrated

And finished off with dinner on a patio.  What a great weekend!

Oh and in the afternoon to beat the heat we headed to the theater to see "Now You See Me" which was pretty awesome!  Here's a trailer in case you're interested :)

Lately

Lately I've been hanging out with this little lady

 Taking care of a beautiful little herb 'garden'

 Been the recipient of a lovely picnic set up by husband (<3)

 And playing fun games for Father's Day!

 OH and also trying new things!
